A SKATE PARK FOR BATEMANS BAY Several years ago it became evident that Batemans Bay was greatly in need of facilities for local youth. With increased unemployment in the area there seemed to a lack of venues for youths who were not members of sporting bodies, to get rid of pent up energy. A skateboard park seemed to be part of the answer. After several years of effort on the part of many people in the community, the park is now a reality and will be officially opened on 30th September - click here for details |
