. | Lop Sided Dog was formed by 5 school mates with the intention of entering the Queensland High School Rock Awards - 'just for a laugh'. Obviously the judges took them seriously as they were judged second from over 80 entrants from throughout Qld. Since then they have been busily honing their live skills and steadily growing a support base and following on the local circuit. Lop Sided Dog have recently released their debut CD - "ergot." |
" The singer from Lop Sided Dog musters a mighty bellow from his thin frame and the whole band send out an aura of power that extend beyond their actual sound. Rage Against the Machine don't tour every day, and if that pisses you off, go and see Lop Sided Dog. They're on the same wavelength and they do it well. All haunched primally over their respective instruments ... the five piece band filled the stage and fed the crowd with the raw energy of youthful rock spirit." (Rave Magazine, 1997) |

Young Brisbanites, Lop Sided Dog have at last been able to scrape enough pennies together to release their debut CD - ergot. The album showcases the band's powerful style, drawing from a driving rhythm, and lyrics just a 'tad' on the dark side ... lyrics that belie their teenage years. Who does it sound like? Some say their sound is very Mark of Cain, others mention Rollins, local press have suggested a Rage Against the Machine feel. |
